Source: eXtension Livestock and Poultry Environmental Learning Center Research has shown that diseases like porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) spread quickly via fecal-oral transmission paths. The risk of transferring diseases via manure handling equipment puts extra pressure on both livestock owners and their manure haulers. The eXtension Livestock and Poultry Environmental Learning Center has compiled a reference list of manure biosecurity guidelines and resources with helpful links to fact sheets and educational materials from a variety of sources. read more
