Designed for tapping long-chipping high tensile strength steels, Prototyp Paradur® Short Chip HT Tap has 15° helix angle for chip removal, even in deep and protected threads. This reduces to 9° helix angle which, combined with ground rake in chamfer, ensures creation of short chips. Axial internal cooling rinses chips out of hole through spiral flutes. Tool life is optimized by THL hard coating, except on reduced helix in lower section of tool which is ground after coating is applied.
