Social media would have produced more impact on the lives of Filipinos if not for relatively low, although increasing, Internet access in the country, a noted blogger said Saturday. Tonyo Cruz, whose articles range from consumer issues to technology, said damage reports from far-flung areas hit by calamities like typhoons Ruby and Yolanda could have come faster and more efficient had there been a reliable Internet infrastructure.
