Operating from 12 V battery supply, Models ISL78227 and ISL78229 boost output voltage to 24, 36, or 48 V for 200–800 W trunk audio amplifiers, start-stop systems, and headlamp LED strings. Two-phase synchronous boost controllers support input and output ranges of 5–55 V and deliver greater than 95% efficiency. Ability to interleave 2 controllers for 4-phase application effectively doubles output power. Model ISL78229 offers digital PMBus™ interface for advanced control, telemetry, and diagnostics.
