Brazil sugar output to rise

SAO PAULO/BRASILIA: Brazil\'s 2015-16 cane crop, which began crushing this month, is due to churn out 37.35 million tonnes (mt) of sugar, up 5 per cent from a year earlier, with most of the growth coming from the main centre-south harvest, government crop supply agency Conab said late on Monday.
