Available in 4.9 x 6.0 mm thermally enhanced small outline package, 8-pin DRV8871 brushed DC gate driver features integrated field-effect transistors (FETs) and suits space-constrained designs. Integrated current sensing enables designers using DRV8871 to avoid power loss and heat generation associated with external sense resistors. While DRV8870 features integrated regulation to limit current to external current-sense resistor, DRV8872 provides fault monitoring to increase system reliability.
