Buyer announced for Danbury A&P store

Official with Shoprite confirmed Thursday that the grocery store chain will be taking over the A&P Super Foodmart located on Padanaram Road. Karen O'Shea , a spokeswoman for Wakefern Food Corp., Shoprite's parent company, said Thursday that the Danbury store is one of 13 properties that Wakefern has purchased from The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, which operates the A&P grocery store chain.
