CSX Corp. won't be exempt from the hard hit the Class 1 railroads took this second quarter, according to analysts, although it will likely fair better than most. Buoyed by a rapid increase in operational efficiency , the railroad will likely stave off 2 percent drop in volumes it said it expected during a mid-quarter update.
