Call to revive Brahmavar Sugar Factory

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said here on Monday that there was a demand from farmers for revival of the Brahmavar Cooperative Sugar Factory, which had closed down in 2004 due to mounting losses. There would be a feasibility study on the revival of the factory and based on the study, the government would take a decision. After he became Chief Minister, he had released Rs. 12 crore to clear the dues of the factory to its workers and farmers, Mr. Siddarmaiah said.
