2013-07-13 14:00:00| TechNewsWorld
AeroVelo, a team of engineers and students, kept a human-powered helicopter aloft for more than 1 minute, a feat that snagged a $250,000 cash prize that had eluded competitors for more than three decades. The team won the challenge issued in 1980 by the American Helicopter Society to fly a human-powered helicopter. At the time, the AHS offered $10,000 to the winners.
