(Telecompaper) King Digital Entertainment, maker of the popular Candy Crush mobile game, has filed a registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of shares. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined. King intends to list on the New York Stock Exchange. King claims 324 million monthly unique users for its over 180 games. These are offered in 14 languages through its King.com website and mobile platforms. King has six game studios in Stockholm, Barcelona, Bucharest, Malmo and London, along with offices in San Francisco and Malta. The company reported revenues of USD 1.8 billion for 2013, up from USD 164 million in 2012. Its net profit jumped to USD 568 million from USD 8 million over the same period.
