Cargill quarter earnings up 33% over year ago

The animal protein sector helped Cargill achieve net earnings of $425 million in the quarter that ended Feb. 28, a 33% increase from $319 million for the same period one year ago. Through nine months, the company earned $1.63 billion, up 13 percent from last year. Revenues in the third quarter decreased 11 percent to $28.4 billion; nine-month revenues totaled $91.97 billion. read more
