MONTEREY >> An attorney for Toyota Motor Corp. told jurors Thursday that Chelsie Hill's indifference cost her the ability to walk, while a lawyer for Hill said blame lies with the automaker's design flaws and poor warning labels. The Pacific Grove woman was injured in a 2010 Skyline Forest crash that split her spine in two, and Hill's doctor testified that a lap belt "jackknifed" her, adding that Hill would be walking today if her seat had been equipped with a shoulder harness.
