(Telecompaper) China Telecom reported a profit of CNY 17.55 billion for 2013, up 17.4 percent from CNY 14.95 billion profit for 2012. Operating revenues grew 13.6 percent to CNY 321.58 billion as mobile revenues went up 28.3 percent to CNY 151.19 billion and fixed-line revenues increased 3.1 percent to CNY 170.40 billion. EBITDA went up 36.2 percent to CNY 96.55 billion. In 2013, capital expenditure was CNY 79.99 billion, an increase of 48.8 percent fro 2012. China Telecom ended the year with 186 million mobile subscribers, up by 24.96 million, with 3G subscribers totalling 103 million, up by 34.06 million customers over the year. The company also served 100 million fixed-line broadband customers, up by 9.98 million, but the number of access lines in service fell by 7.20 million to 156 million.
