China Unicom targets accelerated 4G push after reporting 2015 profit fell 12pc to HK$12.6b

China Unicom, the country's second-largest wireless network operator, is gearing up to push an aggressive turnaround plan after reporting a widely expected decline in earnings and subscribers last year. "The new [financial] year marks the beginning of the all-around implementation of our focus strategies," chairman and chief executive Wang Xiaochu said at a press conference on Wednesday.
