China set to assign spectrum for FDD-LTE services

(Telecompaper) China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is expected to allocate spectrum to China Unicom and China Telecom for FDD-LTE services, The Digitimes writes citing Chinese media. The ministry is likely to allocate two 1800 MHz band units (755-1785 MHz and 1850-1880 MHz) to China Telecom and two 2100 MHz band units to China Unicom (1955-1980 MHz and 2145-2170 MHz) for FDD-LTE services. The ministry has also allocated 190 MHz of 2600 MHz bandwidth to China Mobile for TD-LTE services, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
