Chipmakers Use Acquisitions To Boost IoT Prospects

A look back at some chip industry mergers and acquisitions of 2014 shows companies are shoring up their technologies and product portfolios to better tap IoT market opportunities. There were 142 chip M&As this year through Aug. 25, more than in any full year since 2010, according to Hedgeye Risk Management.
