Chipmakers' outlook more confident than a year ago - KPMG

Chipmakers are more optimistic than a year ago about their business outlook and say their companies plan to boost capital spending in the year ahead, KPMG LLP says. KPMG surveyed 155 semiconductor industry business leaders in companies based around the world to create this year's KPMG Semiconductor Industry Confidence Index, which edged higher to 59, compared to 57 a year ago.
