(Telecompaper) New Zealand fixed-line operator Chorus has proposed eight new Ultra-fast Broadband (UFB) products for retail service providers. The company has begun a period of consultation with the industry with the aim of having the new wholesale products available by 1 January 2014. The new products will be made available in addition to the current fibre products that are specified under the Crown Fibre Holdings contract. The proposed new products include fibre broadband at 50/20 Mbps for NZD 37.50, a 100/20 Mbps connection for NZD 40, 200/100 Mbps for NZD 60, and a 200/200 Mbps product for NZD 65. In addition, Chorus is also consulting on making new combined fibre and copper products available to retail service providers.
