(Telecompaper) Taiwanese operator Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has commercially launched 4G services in the local market, Digitimes reports. The operator became the first company to launch a 4G offering in Taiwan, the report said. CHT said it has set up a 4G+3G dual network to provide high-quality mobile communications services. The operator added that there are more than 30 LTE mobile terminal devices available currently and the number will exceed 50 in the third quarter. Chunghwa ended March with a total of 10.78 million subscribers in the mobile telephony segment.
