Cincinnati Children's inks deal with Shire to develop drugs

"We are very excited to partner with Shire in this capacity as we strive to change the outcome for children with rare and complex diseases," says Dr. Margaret Hostetter, chief medical officer of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center has negotiated what could prove to be a lucrative deal with pharmaceuticals firm Shire Plc to develop drugs to treat rare diseases.
