Cisco appoints Chuck Robbins as new CEO

(Telecompaper) Cisco has appointed Chuck Robbins its new CEO from 26 July. Robbins, who joined Cisco in 1997, was also elected to the board of directors from 1 May. Current CEO and chairman of the board John Chambers will assume the role of executive chairman on 26 and will continue to serve as chairman of Cisco's board.
