City Council gives final approval to one-year moratorium on new late-night bars

Many downtown residents likely are toasting the city's one-year moratorium on new bars in the entertainment district that can stay open past midnight, while members of the food and beverage industry are crying in their beer. City Council Tuesday voted 9-3 to give final approval to the moratorium, which received initial approval last month.
