City OKs deal to Sanderson hatchery

Lumberton City Manager Wayne Horne says an incentives package approved Monday night for a hatchery on N.C. 41 is a "win-win situation" for the city as well as Sanderson Farms. The Lumberton City Council voted unanimously during its regular meeting in favor of offering the Level III incentives to the Mississippi-based poultry company, which is building a $115 million chicken processing plant near St. Pauls.
