Conserving energy usually comes up when a building is under construction or being remodeled, but day-to-day management choices also save - or waste - electricity and money. David Rutkowski, vice president of facility operations at Security Benefit, said his entire department has taken Westar Energy's Building Operator Certification class on efficient operations.
