By finalizing Clean Water Rule, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Army clearly define protection from pollution and degradation for streams and wetlands. Law- and science-based rule, shaped by public input, ensures protected waters are precisely defined and predictably determined as to make permitting less costly, easier, and faster for businesses and industry. There are no new permitting requirements for agriculture, and all previous exemptions and exclusions are maintained.
