Telegraph: Climate change campaigners have welcomed new guidelines which urge Chinese consumers to eat 50 per cent less meat, even though food experts say enticing the country's growing urban middle classes away from beef and pork will be a huge challenge.
The Chinese Nutrition Society last month called on consumers to reduce the amount of animal-based food they eat from about 300 grams to 200 grams a day and their meat consumption from about 62 kg to 27 kg per year.
