(Telecompaper) Comcast has confirmed its exit from the merger agreement with Time Warner Cable and from its transactions agreement with Charter Communications. CEO Brian Roberts said the company had structured the deal in such that, should the government not give its approval, it could just walk away. Time Warner Cable said the exit was made by mutual agreement. Both companies said they were confident in their strong momentum going forward. Dish also issued a statement to mark the end of the deal, saying it was the best possible outcome for consumers.
