Training for commercial drivers will be expanded in Northwest Arkansas, thanks to a partnership between the University of Arkansas Global Campus, Northwest Technical Institute of Springdale and Mid-America Truck Driving School Inc. of Malvern. The trucking industry is often plagued by driver shortages.
