In addition to use as stand-alone controller, 64 x 100 x 73 mm CX8095 can be used as tie-in to EtherNet/IP systems as single EtherNet/IP slave. Embedded PC behaves like 2 EtherNet/IP devices and thereby process 2X EtherNet/IP process data when optional virtual device (slave interface) is activated. Along with 32-bit, 400 MHz ARM9 CPU, features include 64 MB RAM, MicroSD card (4 GB max), and capacitive 1 sec UPS. Unit, programmed via TwinCAT PLC automation software, runs Windows Embedded CE.
