Although the requirements for limiting the ampacities of conductors to that of the terminal temperature ratings found in NEC Table 310.15(B)(16) has been clear in Sec. 110.14(C)(1) for many years (since the reference to the specific table was added several Code cycles back), confusion still exists on what this Section means and how it affects conductor sizes.
