Congress Rolls Back Federal Trucking Rule
2014-12-18 21:11:32| Trucking - Topix.net
At Teal's Express in Marcy today, Congressman Richard Hanna announced that the rule - which cost the trucking industry an estimated $400 million in just the last year - will no longer be enforced. The rule mandated that drivers couldn't drive overnight and had to wait 34 hours between driving shifts, including waiting until 5 a.m. to hit the road, rules that Brian Brundige of Terpening Trucking says was handcuffing truckers.
