Dallas Morning News: A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld the Environmental Protection Agencys first emission standards for mercury and other hazardous air pollutants from coal- and oil-fired power plants. The court rejected challenges from Texas and other states as well as from industries to rules designed to clean up chromium, arsenic, acid gases, nickel, cadmium, mercury and other dangerous toxins.
