Cow poop used to provide electricity for BMW plant

According to a recent report by Bloomberg News ,BMW's factory in Rosslyn, South Africa has signed a 10-year agreement to purchase as much as 4.4 megawatts of electricity from Bio2Watt, a biogas plant which uses cow manure and other organic waste iincluding sour yogurt and discarded dogfood, as well as "paper sludge" from the local unit of U.S. toilet-tissue maker Kimberly-Clark Corp. .to power its plant. The biogas facility, located approximately 50 miles from BMW's near Pretoria is situated in the heart of grazing land for an estimated 30,000 cows, and is prepared to provide up to 25-30% of the electricity used by BMW's factory, stated the German auto manufacturer's South Africa spokesman Diederik Reitsma.
