Crane Worldwide Logistics growing in Columbus thanks to auto-parts makers

Crane Worldwide Logistics has doubled staff in Central Ohio with plans to add more, thanks to the region's deep supply chain of foreign automakers and their suppliers. The Houston, Texas-based third-party logistics company has managed a 304,560-square-foot distribution center for Japanese auto-parts maker American Showa Inc. since December at Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park, which District Director Kurt Brulisauer says required the company grow to 60 Columbus-area employees, up from 30, and has it on pace to hire at least another 20. "Overnight, we doubled our staff," Brulisauer told me.
