Cree teams up with Taiwanese competitor in LED licensing deal

A licensing agreement just signed by Durham LED maker Cree with a Taiwanese competitor could further accelerate the adoption of LED lighting. That's according to Cree CEO Chuck Swoboda , who released a statement with the announcement that Cree had entered into a cross-license agreement for light emitting diode chips to further advance the growth of the LED lighting and bulb markets with Taiwan LED maker Epistar Corporation.
