Tester features steel cutter knife blades, black anodized aluminum gauge body for corrosion resistance, and stainless steel 1 mm and 1.5 mm shims. Scores in blade permit ends to be snapped away so that up to 13 fresh sharp tips may be exposed. Equipped with magnetic base, instrument is suitable for smooth and flat surfaces as well as somewhat rough coated surfaces.
