(Telecompaper) Czech regulator CTU published documentation on a new auction for frequencies in the 800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz bands. Applicants may submit offers until 30 September, and the applications will be considered on 1 October. CTU will inform applicants whether they qualify for participation in the auction. Successful candidates will then take part in training and two trial auctions. The auction itself and subsequent assignment of blocks should be completed by the end of the year, and the spectrum will be awarded to operators at the beginning of 2014. The Czech regulator earlier tried to auction the frequencies in March, but the auction was halted after bids went too high.
