Used to meet requirements of testing standards such as ASTM’s D5264, Sutherland Rub Testing determines durability and abrasion resistance of printed materials that may be impacted by shipping conditions, temperature/humidity, and time. Test is performed by attaching label to device while similar sample label is attached to weight. After 2 samples are rubbed against one another at controlled speed for predetermined number of cycles, samples are visually inspected to see if ink has worn off.
