Raoul Dufy's 1934 oil painting "Regatta at Cowes" is one of the few works in "Matisse and Friends" to be created after the first decade of the 20th century. Transcendence comes cheap and easy at "Matisse and Friends," the new exhibit at the Denver Art Museum , and, for most of us, that's a terrific help.
