(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom and BMW Group will show how cars can be turned into a WLAN hotspot at CeBIT. This will allow drivers and passengers to simultaneously go online with up to eight WLAN-enabled devices at LTE speeds of up to 100 Mbps. The BMW ConnectedDrive Hotspot will be rolled out initially with car rental company Sixt. From summer 2013, Sixt fleet vehicles will be equipped with the ConnectedDrive Hotspot. For Sixt and Telekom customers, this will be free of charge for the first 12 months.
