With 0.9 mm² die size, CMD179 general-purpose GaAs mixer can be used for up- and down-converting applications between 16 and 26 GHz. Conversion loss is 7 dB, LO to RF isolation is >40 dB, IF bandwidth is 8 GHz, and input IP3 is +18 dBm. Suited for hybrid assemblies, mixer can operate with LO drive level as low as +9 dBm; linearity and spur suppression will improve with increased drive.
