Drilling down: Texas job numbers tank as oil price, rig counts fall

Texas in March ended its impressive 53-month streak of positive job creation, and much of that had to do with the oil price collapse and rig count decline. The number of U.S. oil rigs in use fell by 26 to 734 for the week ending April 17, according to data from oil-driller Baker Hughes .
