(Telecompaper) The number of FTTH subscribers in the Netherlands passed the milestone of 1 million in March, according to the Telecompaper Dutch FTTH Database. While the roll-out of FTTH networks has slowed in the past year, the number of users continues to grow, with an increase of around 200,000 in the past year. Around 900,000 households use the Reggefiber networks. Reggefiber, a subsidiary of KPN, said last month that the penetration on its network reached 40 percent at the end of 2015. Multiple operators, in addition to KPN, are active on the Reggefiber network. The other 100,000 FTTH subscribers in the Netherlands use the CIF networks or networks run by small local providers.
