Further complicating Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim' s ambition to expand his telecom empire from the Americas to the Old Continent, the Dutch government intervened Thursday in the ongoing saga which has resulted from Amrica Mvil's buyout offer of the Dutch telecom carrier Royal KPN NV , according to MarketWatch .
