This research brief analyses Dutch mobile promotions by operator, providing shares for KPN, Hi, Telfort, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Tele2 and Others. The info is shown over the past seven quarters and is based on findings from Telecompaper's Mobile Promotions Database. This database tracks active promotions of mobile services on a weekly basis; data is gathered using public sources and includes print ads from national newspapers (including Metro and Spits), leaflets of key telecom retail outlets and promotions at other retail outlets.
According to Telecompaper's promotions database, Vodafone remained the most promoted operator overall, although share is dropping over the past seven quarters to 31% in Q2 2013. In terms of total active promotions a continous drop per quarter is visible with majority focused on postpaid promotions with a device (either mobile phone, tablet or other). Most operators offer these postpaid promotions mainly with a voice and data plan, while share of data only promotions showed an annual drop.
