(Telecompaper) The number of Dutch households with a fibre broadband subscription passed 750,000 in November, according to the Telecompaper FTTH Monitor. Almost 84 percent use the Reggefiber network, while the remainder have a connection with CIF or one of the small local networks. Each month, around 90,000 subscribers are added. Compared to November 2013, the total base has increased by around 100,000. However, growth has slowed in the past 12 months compared to previous years. Telecompaper expects growth to pick up again now as KPN is since July connecting broadband customers automatically to fibre in areas where it's available. This is increasing fibre penetration on existing networks.
