(Telecompaper) The European Commission has accepted the German regulator's proposal to allow Deutsche Telekom to roll out VDSL vectoring, after the Bundesnetzagentuur made changes to the wholesale regulations. The proposal has been highly contested by DT's rivals, saying it will limit their ability to access the copper network and compete with the incumbent and also slow investment in fibre in Germany. In May, the Commission told the German regulator it had serious concerns about the possible competitive impact. As a result, the BNetzA agreed to amend its decision on four fronts.
