EE CEO Swantee to step down after BT takeover

(Telecompaper) UK operator EE announced that its CEO Olaf Swantee will leave the company after BT completes its planned takeover of EE. Subject to formal regulatory approval and upon completion of the deal, EE will become part of the BT Group, creating a new line of business. Marc Allera has been appointed as the new CEO for EE and will take up the position once the deal is concluded. He is currently EE's Chief Commercial Officer and has held senior leadership roles in the mobile industry for more than 15 years. Allera joined EE four years ago.
