EL man accused of assisting in assault sentenced to prison

An East Liverpool man accused of assisting in the assault of another man during a bar fight last year was sentenced Friday to 10 months in prison. James J. Conrad, 37, Montrose Avenue, East Liverpool, reportedly participated in the beating of Calvin Washington outside the New D in the early morning hours of April 19, 2014.
